Clear Voice Consulting helps parents of children with IEPs prepare the documents and requests that move a school team to act. Parents already know their child better than anyone at the table. What they often lack is a clear picture of what the school is required to do, and a way to put a request in writing so it is answered.
Who Is Guiding You
Dr. Eric Johnson spent 35 years working inside North Carolina institutions: in residential psychiatric care, in classrooms, as a school administrator in Durham and Wake County public schools, and as executive director of a public charter school. For nearly a decade he represented the school system at IEP meetings. He knows how those meetings run, what documentation affects outcomes, and where requests stall.
He has also spent years teaching writing at community colleges and universities, including composition, technical writing, and professional communication. His doctoral research demanded the careful, evidence-based writing that institutions respond to, and he teaches parents that same discipline.
He began bringing AI tools into college writing instruction in 2022, and he uses them with clear limits. A tool can supply language. The facts come from you, and the obligations come from the rules that govern your child’s school.

Where AI Fits
Many parents now draft with an AI tool, and Dr. Johnson uses them too. Used carelessly, these tools produce confident language built on facts that are wrong and requests that have no basis. In coaching and in the audit, every statement in your document is checked against two things a tool cannot supply: your facts, and what the school is obligated to do. The result sounds like you, because it is built from what you know.
Your Privacy
Clear Voice Consulting treats your situation as confidential. In coaching sessions you work directly with your own documents, and Dr. Johnson does not upload or store them on your behalf. For an audit, the document you send is used only for that review and deleted within 30 days of the engagement ending, or sooner if you ask.
When AI tools are used during a session, that is disclosed first, and you may decline. Paying clients receive a privacy guide with practical steps for protecting sensitive information on any AI platform. Clear Voice Consulting never sells, shares, or discloses client information to any third party.

Clear Voice Consulting is a coaching and document review service. It is not legal, financial, or medical advice. Dr. Johnson is not an attorney and does not provide legal representation. Dr. Johnson does not attend IEP meetings or serve as a formal advocate. His role is to prepare and equip you to participate effectively yourself. If your situation calls for an attorney, he can help you recognize when that point is approaching.
